Biography Uroš Lajovic

  Uros Lajovic Maestro Uroš Lajovic, one of the most successful conducting professors in Europe, hails from Slovenia. After having studied under Prof. Hans Swarowsky and Prof. Bruno Maderna, he became principal conductor of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and of the Zagreb Symphony Orchestra in Croatia. Very soon, he achieved international acclaim by conducting in major orchestras all over the world.

During his career, Maestro Lajovic has conducted orchestras such as the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, Wiener Symphoniker, German Symphony Orchestra Berlin, Radio Leipzig Orchestra, Sudwestdeutscher Rundfunk Stuttgart, Bach Kollegium Munich, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Moscow State Orchestra, Prague Philharmonics, Bern Symphony Orchestra, Belgian National Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra. He is currently music director of the Belgrade Philharmonic.

Maestro Lajovic is an extremely talented and experienced conducting teacher. Among his former students are Kirill Petrenko, presently director of the Komische Oper Berlin, and Alan Buribayev, soon to be director of the Norköpping Symphony Orchestra.
