Conditions of the Conducting Course:
The course is open to active participants and auditors and to all levels from beginners to professionals!
There is NO AGE LIMIT.
The master class is open until filled. Please fill out the online application form that you can find at the webpage www.philharmonie.com The course language is ENGLISH. Free choice of repertoire (subject to confirmation by the Orchestra).
Participants of conducting competitions are very welcome. We will find the music for you.
Further Information: Active participants should fill out the application form. Participation will be confirmed after receipt of application. The course language is English, so if you do not speak English please let us know. After the course, each participant, whether active or auditor, will receive a certificate of participation signed by the Maestro teacher
Free choice of repertoire: If you have special repertoire needs for future projects or competitions, you are welcome to propose any classical or modern pieces.

Auditors can attend all rehearsals and have access to all the lessons and technical discussions.The price includes video recording of all rehearsals and the concert. The Participants will conduct every day. In addition to that there will be extra rehearsals, technical exercises, and video sessions with the Maestro.

Colin Metters’ career as conductor, orchestral trainer and conducting pedagogue takes him all over the world and his wide experience affords him an enviable reputation across a broad spectrum of the music profession. He has conducted many of the leading symphony orchestras in the United Kingdom and also worked extensively abroad, guest conducting in Poland, Spain, Germany, Australia, Singapore and USA.
He is currently Professor of Conducting and Director of Conducting Studies at the Royal Academy of Music London, a course he founded in 1983 and which, through his dedication and commitment, is now recognised internationally as one of the foremost conductor training programmes.
In addition to his work in the concert hall, Metters has considerable experience in the theatre working with many leading ballet companies. He was appointed Music Director of the Ballet Rambert at the age of 23 and has guest conducted for many theatres all around the world. His students have Music Director positions worldwide.
