Michael Zukernik conducted the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma, Staatskapelle Weimar, Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal, BeethovenOrchester Bonn, Nueremberger Symphony Orchestra, GoettingenSymphony Orchestra, State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Russian Federation (Государственный АкадемическийСимфонический Оркестр России), St. Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Thüringen Philharmonie, Neue Philharmonie Westfalen, Berlin Sinfonietta (Chamber Orchestra of Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin), Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie, Czech Chamber Philharmonic Prague, Philharmonic Orchestra of KMV in Kislovodsk (Russia), etc. He was invited as a guest conductor with the Macao Orchestra, China, and made a tour in New Zealand with Auckland Philharmonia. In 2006 he went on tour to China where he conducted 10 concerts in the most important theaters as the Shanghai Opera House, Beijing Cultural Centre, etc. In 2010 he went on tour to South Korea with Philharmonisches Kammerorchester Berlin and he conducted 9 concerts. He speaks fluently Russian, German, English, French, Hebrew and Spanish. In free time he likes playing golf and yoga. Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet , Ouverture -Fantasy is an orchestral work based on Shakespeare's play. Tchaikovsky composed the music in 1869 when he was a professor of music in Moscow Conservatory. The overall design is a simphonic poem in sonata form with an introduction and an epilogue. Tchaikovsky - Violin Concerto in D major op.35 Tchaikovsky wrote the concerto in 1878 in Switzerland where he was recovered from the depression brought on by his marriage . Is considered one of the most technically difficult piece ever written. The first performance was given by Adolph Brodsky in 1881 in Vienna under the baton of Hans Richter. Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker's suite op 71 a was intended by the composer as a concert piece and was conducted under his direction in 1892 at an assemply of the St Petersburg branch of Musical Society. The suite is a selection of eight of the numbers that are included in the full ballet. |
