Artur Banazkiewicz -  violin
Artur Banazkiewicz  is a violinist, composer and arranger. He has performing on stage since. In  1985 he won the first prize at the Young Violinist's contest in Koszalin. In 1988-1990 he benefited from the Polish Ministry of Culture and Arts sholarship and studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. During that time he took part in master violinist rendering course in Lancut ( M Rusin) and Bydgoszcz ( W Pikajzen). Apart from the classical violin repertorie, Artur Banaszkiewic very often virtuoso fantasias and renderings of some famous and very muche liked pieces from various realms of music ( including "VIVA STRAUSS, IRISH DREAMS, LA FIESTA MEXICANA; FIDDLER ON THE ROOF; CAN-CAN; MY FAIR LADY; HAVAH NAGILAH, OCHI CHORNI, KALINKA) Especially popular with Polish and international audiences is a concerto show called " The Gypsies enchanting evening". In comprises pieces inspired by the Gypsy Folklore on the one hand, adn theJewish musical tradition on the other. The concept of the show has attracted a lot of media attention which brought a number of appearences in TV radio shows. It has also brought a number of  high-profile appearences in some of the most prestigious concert halls ( including New York´s Lincoln Center and the Congress Hall in Warsaw, Berlin Philharmonic, Leipzig Gewandhaus), and co-opeation with some of the most notable personalities ot the Polish music scene ( with. W.Malicki, V Brodsky, A Maliszkiewcz and Karwowski among others). Artur Banaszkievicz is extremely active, performing and continuously expanding the repertoire  to share his musical fascinations with audiences across the world.

Brief introduction

W. A.Mozart: Salzburg Symphony kv 136

Mozart was only 16 when he composed the Salzburg Symphony n.1 in D major kv136. After this  work he wrote other two similar compositions kv137, kv138 in the period betwen the second and the third trip to Italy.


J.S.Bach. Air ( from Suite n.3 in D major)

Bach composed this wonderful piece that is now very popular for his patron Prince Leopold of Anhalt between 1717 and 1723. Air is  the second movement of the Suite n.2 in D major.



Tchaikovsky - Serenade for strings in C major

Serenade was premiered in 1880 in a private concert at a Moscow Conservatory as a surprise for Tchaikovsky himslef after a long absence. Now is one of the most important piece of the Romantic period. The Serenade was dedicated to the cellist Karl Albrecht.


E.Grieg- Erotic
Erotic is part of a collection of short piano pieces that Edward Grieg published from 1867 to 1901. In these volumes there are many famous and popular pieces. Some of them were orchestrated by Grieg himself.

V. Monti. Czardas
Vittorio Monti composed Czardas in 1904 based on Hungarian czardas style. It's a virtuoso rhapsodical violin piece not originally composed for violin but today played by great violinists with an orchestral arrangement.

Josef Strauss- Pizzicato Polka

The Austrian composer Josef Strauss, part of the family orchestra with his brothers. He wrote more than 200 pieces. One of these pieces, that became very popular is Pizzicato Polka wrote with his brother Johann.

Johann Strauss senior- Radetzky March
Johann Strauss Sr. composed the march in 1848 dedicated to the Field Marshal Joseph Radetzky von Radetz. The piece became very popular not only for soldiers. Today is performed for celebration purposes.
